Isn't that always the way? Northern Californians aren't happy either. They think we're steeling their water and we probably are. What a mess.
Grapes wouldn't be as pretty as green avocado trees. It's a dilemma that's for sure.
Thanks for commenting.North County Film Clubhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13683794164957833415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3070420212032798639.post-7347089643662919202010-07-09T08:58:53.626-07:002010-07-09T08:58:53.626-07:00I find that disheartening. You are stuck between ...I find that disheartening. You are stuck between a rock and a hard place too. I mean, if the water you get is too salty and the avocadoes suffer, you lose money. If you love growing them but switch to grapes, you'll probably make better money but will you enjoy as much? The SoCal problem is nothing new. I wonder if it's as politically charged and dirty as it was in the Thirties when they first diverted water from the Owens Valley and all their farmers went dry? Last time I read about water sources into SoCal there were four: Owens Valley, Colorado River and two more; three of the four out of state and the other states not happy at all.California Girlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12582691517303132274noreply@blogger.com
