Just went to an estate sale this morning and what did they have millions of? Tons and tons of movie posters, lobby cards and other film memorabilia. It was so much fun going through the old posters. Unfortunately they weren't old enough. Most were from the 70s and 80s, not my favorite period of films. I found these wonderful cards though and thought they'd fit in perfectly with this week's theme.
That's Clark Gable in an early film. But I'm not sure what film it's from since these cards are all advertising the film "That's Entertainment".
Here are two more:
Fred and Ginger dancing in a lavish set, maybe The Gay Divorcee.
Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland are saying "Hey, let's rent that old barn and put on a show". Didn't you love their old movies?
Here's a trailer from That's Entertainment - so many great scenes from some of the great old musicals. I especially love the Esther Williams clips. Wow those films were really spectacular. And the scenes from Singin' in the Rain! Fantastic.
Did you see any of your favorites?
